Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. Who we are and scope
IndieBug ("we", "us") provides QA and playtesting services for indie game developers through this website (indiebug.dev). These Terms and Conditions govern any service you purchase through IndieBug, across all three plans: Bug Scout, Bug Hunter, and Bug Slayer. By confirming your project after the initial call, you accept these terms in full.
IndieBug currently operates as an individual professional based in Spain. Full business identification details will be published here once available.
2. Description of services
IndieBug offers three tiers of QA and playtesting coverage: Bug Scout, Bug Hunter, and Bug Slayer, each with a different scope of testing sessions, deliverables, and support. The exact features included in each plan are listed on our pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
All plans include, at minimum, a documented bug report with reproduction steps. Higher tiers add session recordings, prioritized feedback, live collaboration, and follow-up calls, as detailed on the pricing page.
The specific scope of work for your project (which build, platforms, and areas to test) is defined together during the initial scoping call, before any commitment or payment is made.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices shown on the website are indicative and exclude VAT, as noted next to each plan. The final price for your project is confirmed during the scoping call, based on the plan and scope agreed.
Payment is required in full, in advance, before work begins. The process is: (1) an initial call to scope your project and needs, (2) we agree on scope, price, and delivery timeline, (3) you pay 100% upfront, (4) IndieBug carries out the testing and delivers the report.
We do not begin testing before payment is received.
4. Delivery timelines
The delivery times shown next to each plan on the pricing page (e.g. "3 days" for Bug Scout) are indicative starting points. The actual, binding delivery date is the one agreed with you during the scoping call, adjusted to the size and complexity of your game.
Once a delivery date is agreed, it becomes part of your project's terms. If the actual scope of the game turns out to differ significantly from what was described before the agreement (for example, a much longer or buggier build than expected), we will let you know and propose adjusted terms before continuing.
5. Your obligations
To meet the agreed timeline, you need to provide IndieBug with working access to the build (or the relevant test environment) and any information needed to test it, within the time agreed during scoping. Delays in providing access may delay delivery accordingly.
6. Ownership of the report
Once payment is received in full, the bug report and any deliverables produced for your project belong to you. You are free to use them internally however you see fit.
IndieBug does not publish, showcase, or reference your project publicly, including as a portfolio piece, case study, or testimonial, without your separate, explicit written consent.
7. Confidentiality
We understand that most of the games we test are unreleased. IndieBug will not share, publish, or distribute your build, footage, screenshots, or any project materials with anyone outside the scope of the agreed work, without your consent.
If you require a separate non-disclosure agreement, let us know during the scoping call and we can arrange one before starting work.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Because payment is required upfront and work begins immediately afterward, IndieBug operates on an all-or-nothing basis: once testing has started, no refund is issued, in full or in part, even if you decide you no longer need the report.
If you need to cancel before payment is made, there is no obligation on either side.
9. Limitation of liability
The bug report is a tool to help you identify and prioritize issues; it does not guarantee that your game is free of bugs, nor that all possible issues have been found. IndieBug is not liable for decisions you make based on the report, nor for any indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.
IndieBug's liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount paid for that specific project.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Any significant changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Terms agreed for an ongoing project remain those in force at the time you made payment.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. IndieBug provides its services to businesses and professionals; any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent Spanish courts.
